PM Industries manufactures, supplies, and stocks Hastelloy C2000 Round Bar (UNS N06200). It's a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with a copper addition, developed as a single-alloy solution for both oxidizing and reducing corrosive environments. That dual capability is what distinguishes C2000 from earlier C-family alloys. Hastelloy C-276 and C-22 both perform well in reducing and mildly oxidizing conditions but have limits in strongly oxidizing media. C2000's copper addition extends its oxidizing acid resistance considerably, giving it broader coverage across the corrosion spectrum than either of those grades.

For engineers specifying alloys in chemical plants where process streams vary in chemistry or where both oxidizing and reducing conditions occur in the same system, C2000 reduces the risk that comes with choosing an alloy optimized for only one side of that range.
Sulfuric acid resistance is broad and reliable. From dilute concentrations up through mid-range, across temperatures that cause significant attack on stainless steels and many nickel alloys, C2000 maintains low corrosion rates. The combination of molybdenum for reducing condition protection and copper for oxidizing condition resistance makes it effective across the full concentration curve in ways that single-mechanism alloys are not.
Hydrochloric acid resistance is strong. In dilute to moderate HCl concentrations at elevated temperatures, C2000 performs well where even C-276 begins to show increasing corrosion rates. That matters in pickling operations, chemical manufacturing, and any process where chloride-containing acids are handled continuously.
Localized corrosion resistance is excellent. Pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride-rich environments are common failure modes for stainless steels and lower-alloy nickel grades. C2000's high pitting resistance equivalent number, driven by its chromium, molybdenum, and copper content, gives it reliable protection in those conditions.
Weldability is good. Heat-affected zone corrosion resistance is maintained after welding with appropriate filler materials, which is critical for fabricated vessels, heat exchangers, and piping systems where weld quality directly affects equipment service life.
