Sheet stock that can't be formed to those geometries without cracking is eliminated from consideration. C-263 in the solution-annealed condition forms well enough that aerospace manufacturers can produce the complex shapes required, weld the assemblies together, and then age the completed structure to develop full elevated temperature properties.
