PM Industries manufactures, supplies, and stocks Haynes HR-120 Round Bar (UNS N08120). It's a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with additions of cobalt, tungsten, molybdenum, niobium, and nitrogen, designed for continuous service in high-temperature industrial environments. The nitrogen addition is a distinguishing feature of HR-120, contributing to solid-solution strengthening and giving it better high-temperature strength than many competing iron-nickel-chromium grades.

HR-120 sits in a practical middle ground between standard austenitic stainless steels and premium cobalt superalloys. It offers significantly better high-temperature performance than grades like 310 or 330 stainless, at a lower cost than alloys like Haynes 188 or 25.

Oxidation resistance is reliable across the alloy's full operating range. In air and combustion gas environments, HR-120 forms a stable protective oxide that limits further surface attack. That matters for furnace fixtures, heat treatment tooling, and combustion hardware that accumulate thousands of hours of thermal exposure.

Carburization and nitriding resistance are particularly relevant for heat treatment and thermal processing equipment. Furnace components exposed to carbon-rich or nitrogen-rich atmospheres can absorb those elements over time, which embrittles the material and shortens service life. HR-120 resists absorption better than standard stainless grades.

Creep resistance is good throughout the operating range. Parts carrying load at temperature hold their shape without progressive deformation, which is important for fixtures, trays, baskets, and structural supports in continuous furnace service.

Fabricability is a practical advantage. HR-120 machines, forms, and welds with less difficulty than cobalt superalloys, making it accessible for fabricated assemblies and precision components without requiring highly specialized processing.
