Inconel 718 Sheet and Plate, ASME SB 168 Inconel 718 Sheet, Inconel 718 Plates Stockists in Mumbai, Inconel 718 Cold Rolled (CR) Sheet & Plate, Inconel Alloy 718 Hot Rolled (HR) Sheet & Plates Supplier in India.

PM Industries manufactures, supplies, and stocks AMS 5662 Inconel 718 Sheet Plate (UNS N07718) in a range of thicknesses and sizes. AMS 5662 is the aerospace material specification covering Inconel 718 in sheet and strip form, defining chemistry, mechanical property requirements, heat treatment condition, and surface quality standards for aerospace production. Inconel 718 is a nickel-chromium superalloy strengthened primarily by niobium and molybdenum through gamma-prime and gamma-double-prime precipitation during aging, and it's the most widely produced nickel superalloy in the world by volume across both bar and sheet forms.

Sheet and plate form makes Inconel 718 accessible for fabricated structural components, formed aerospace sheet metal, spring strip, and precision stamped hardware alongside its more commonly known bar, disk, and ring applications. The alloy's combination of high strength after aging, good weldability relative to its strength class, and broad aerospace certification history makes it the default superalloy specification for fabricated sheet metal structures in aerospace hot sections and structural applications where those three properties must coexist.

Weldability in the aged condition relative to other high-strength superalloys is the fabrication advantage that keeps Inconel 718 sheet specified for complex welded structures. Gamma-prime strengthened alloys like Rene 41 and Waspaloy are susceptible to strain-age cracking during post-weld heat treatment because their gamma-prime precipitates form rapidly during heating, generating stress before the material has relaxed from the welding thermal cycle. Inconel 718's gamma-double-prime strengthening phase forms more slowly, allowing the material to relax before precipitation hardens it significantly. That slower precipitation kinetics makes post-weld heat treatment more manageable, supporting complex welded sheet metal fabrications that would be difficult or impractical with higher-cracking-susceptibility alloys.

Formed spring and precision stamped hardware from Inconel 718 sheet takes advantage of the alloy's good formability in the solution-annealed condition combined with its high strength after aging. Spring components, formed retaining clips, and precision stamped structural brackets are processed in the annealed condition where the material is sufficiently ductile, then aged to develop the precipitation-hardened strength required for their service function. That manufacturing sequence applies to both coil form strip and flat sheet stock, covering a wide range of precision hardware production.

High-strength sheet metal for aerospace structural panels and formed components benefits from Inconel 718's certified strength and well-documented mechanical properties across the full operating temperature range. For panels, brackets, and formed structural sheet metal in gas turbine nacelles, aircraft engine compartments, and high-temperature zones where standard aluminum alloys and stainless steels are inadequate, Inconel 718 sheet provides the required strength with an established qualification base.

Sheet and plate are available in the solution-annealed condition with full material certification to AMS 5662 and applicable specifications. Contact PM Industries for thickness, width, length, quantity, and pricing.
